ScubaStop Policies

 Course Fees:

All course fees are due at the time of the course registration unless other arrangements are made.  ScubaStop reserves the right to withhold any certification until all course fees are paid in full and all gear is returned. We accept cash, check, and payments via payment Apps (Venmo, CashApp & Zelle). There is a $50.00 service fee for all returned checks.

Instruction & Training: ScubaStop course tuition fees are not refundable.

Scuba Instructor Standards:

According to PADI & SSI standards, your instructor will determine if you can get certified or not, judging how you are meeting the requirements for your particular course (skill demonstration, comfort level in the water, and total dive skills) and your score on written examination and quizzes. If you do not follow your instructors’ directions, or if you cannot successfully demonstrate the skills that meet the requirement, you may not get certified. If you disagree with your instructor’s evaluation of your diving skills you can request a reevaluation by the Training Director or another Instructor. All students who do not earn certification in a course will be provided with a written explanation of why they were not certified.

Rescheduling Your Training:

For publicly offered classes, if you request a change to your training date no later than ten (10) days prior to the start of the class, ScubaStop will reschedule your attendance to the next scheduled publicly offered class of your choice, subject to availability ONCE at no charge. ScubaStop reserves the right to assess a class change charge of Sixty-Five Dollars ($65.00) fee up to the total cost of the tuition/per person rescheduled to each class change requested. Rescheduling private classes may result in the forfeiture of all tuition at the discretion of ScubaStop.

Course Cancellation/Reschedule & Refunds

Students who wish to drop out of a course they have signed up for must give at least ten (10) days notice. Amount refunded will equal purchase price minus eLearning materials cost.

Students who cancel or drop out of a scheduled course without notifying ScubaStop within 10 days will not receive any refund, unless due to a medical reason and a doctor’s note is provided. The doctor’s note must clearly state that the student is not able to Scuba dive due to health reasons. Students providing a doctor’s note prior to the start of their class will receive a full refund minus eLearning materials cost (less a $50.00 administrative fee). Students unable to complete a class for medical reasons that is already in progress, may join another class at a later date with no additional expense.

Students who fail to show up for a class/course will not receive a credit or refund for the program, and all fees paid will be considered forfeited.
